Our clients a leading Oil and Gas operator are currently looking for a Contract Administrator based at their site in Aberdeen. See below for the job description.The Contract Administrator is responsible for ensuring that capital and abandonment project contracts are administered in accordance with both the CONTRACT and with RSRUK Procedures and Processes.Accountabilities• Support the PREs/JREs in the delivery of the project, adhering to the agreed terms within the contracts• Provide post contract award administration to ensure that the intended contract / purchase order supply is delivered in accordance with the applicable T’s & C’s• Ensure that the various projects follow RSRUK contracting process and good SCM practice to optimise value for the business. This includes maintaining a full audit trail of contracting activities• Maintain a firm understanding of the threat Cyber Attacks pose in both regular IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology / industrial automation) environments and the potential consequences of such attacksKey Duties• Interface with Supply Chain Lead and other Contracting Specialists to capitalise on any opportunities for commercial synergies and cost• Review and update, on a weekly basis, the Procurement Support Register (PSR) in the development and implementation of procurement plans for each project• Support with material control, engaging with key users to ensure material requirements are identified before key stage gates• Ensure that RSRUK contracting processes are followed to optimise value, including ongoing assessment of contractual, financial and liability risk to the company• Ensure that all tender clarifications and agreements are included in the contract• Ensure that all securities (Bank Guarantee, Performance Bonds) and Insurances are in place during the execution of the contract• Control and monitor all contractual correspondence and documentation process to ensure robust record keeping and audit trail• Manage any commercial/contractual discussions throughout the project phase, engaging with corporate function (legal, commercial, tax) as required for support• Review and manage any milestone payments in accordance with the contract• Review and process variation orders in accordance with the contract, supporting the PREs/JREs in approval/query/rejection of the variation orders• Ensure contract compliance is being adhered to with regards to invoicing as per the contract terms and conditions, challenging contractors for clarifications or credits if required• Supports the PREs/JREs in any contractor performance issues, contractual or variation disputes• Ensure the project is systematically closed out and all obligations under the contract have been completed• Administer any amendments to the contract, supporting and reviewing any uplift to contract or PO valuesEducation Attainment & Accreditation• HND in Business, Finance or Law• Post Graduate Diploma or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Commercial Law• Working towards or fully qualified Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)Professional Skills & Experience• Experience in Contract Administration• Experience in Contract Administration of large Contracts (> $100 mm)• Experience in the Management of Lump Sum Contracts / Incentivised Performance Contracts• Experienced on international Oil and Gas procurement and construction contracts• Experience in services contracts within the construction, engineering, oil and gas (preferred) or other resource sector• Experience of building good internal relations and seen as a proactive player are critical to success• Ability to work with established processes and guidelines but also continually look at areas for improvement• Must demonstrate exemplary commitment to good HS&E practiceInterpersonal Skills & Qualities• Must be able to work effectively within a multi-functional team• Must have good influencing skills & negotiation skills• Demonstrable communication skills at all organisational levels• Committed team player with a high degree of self-motivation, embraces change and continuous improvement• Ability to structure and solve problems using initiative and resourcefulness• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills• Actively demonstrates RSRUK core values of Leadership, Excellence, Accountability and Positivity
