TOOL STORES CONTROLLER - Tamworth, PermanentD o youhave experience of purchasing and/or raising purchase orders?Have you worked in an advanced manufacturing or precision engineering business?Are you self-motivated and organised with a desire to ensure processes are adhered to?If so then we have a new opportunity available for a Tool Stores Controller for a leading engineering company based in Tamworth that might be perfect for you!As a Tool Stores Controller, you will provide day to day support to the machine shop, issuing tools, vending tools tips and consumables from tool stores. You will be controlling budget spend and re-ordering tools as and when required.Primarily you will be required to set tools to layouts provided and supply in priority order to the machine shop ensuring timely delivery to help reduce set-up times as well as controlling fixture location and cataloguing.You will be responsible for ordering tooling, fluids, PPE and a wide variety of manufacturing consumables required for a busy, fast paced shop floor.Candidates will need to have strong IT skills to be able to use the purchasing system to raise POs as well as being confident to liase with suppliers to ensure lead times are adhered to.You will also carry out a variety of other duties including possible secondments to work in other areas of the shop floor, giving you the opportunity to learn and progress within different areas of the business.Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate: Knowledge of engineering cutting tools or experience of working within an advanced manufacturing or precision engineering shop floor environmentStrong IT skills using Microsoft packages etc (Experience of supply point software would be advantageous)Experience of working on / knowledge of CNC machines Ability to deal with suppliers and handle changing demands within purchasing Experience of working in a quality environment with an ability to work to health and safety policiesOrganised, self motivated and excellent communication skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision and resolve issues as they arise In return the client is offering: Permanent PositionHourly rate: Negotiable depending on experienceShifts: Days (Early finish on a Friday)Overtime available paid at premium ratesContributory pensionChristmas Shut down If you are interested in this position and would like to apply, please click to apply now or submit your most up to date CV to ;EMBS Engineering is a dedicated talent specialist that partners with some of the UK's most prestigious, advanced, precision engineering companies within the Aerospace, Automotive / Motorsport, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Green, Environmental and FMCG industries.
