OUTSIDE IR35 Contract initially till 31/12/2022 (potential extension available) Scope of Service: The Prototype Technical Support Engineer (Electrical) role is within our Whole Vehicle Engineering VoWa, DCP and Concerns Management department. The role reports to the Technical Manager R&D Workshops and is responsible carrying out a number of deliverables. Key Deliverables:Conduct R&D workshop Engineering tasks (i.e. Raising DISS tickets, Completing Version Compares, Interaction Tests, Logging of build issues, etc.)Supporting the collation early technical information & instructions based on new Steckbrief content, to assist with build planning & delivery.Generation of technical work instructions to support R&D workshop build activities.Collation of data to support the generation of vehicle sign-off criteriaManipulation of 2D/3D data (i.e. Technical Drawings, Vehicle Logs, etc.)Collation of SW packs to support vehicle updatesSupporting feature owners in the resolution of technical issues relating to vehicle build & updatesProvide on-site & remote build support for Mules, Simulators, Prototypes & Pre-Series vehicle updates both at Crewe & external suppliers.Support the sign-off of vehicles to an agreed criteriaIdentify technical & process risks to TM & FM as appropriateSupport EG/W level meetings, i.e. BoM Reviews, SoSsParticipate in improvement initiatives across EG/WV & EG/WKey Skills & Experience:Understanding of all vehicle components & their requirementsKnowledge & experience of prototype vehicle build & update methods (inc.
