All without compromising our operational risk management.About The RoleTo make this transition, we’re looking for a Product Manager who will be a key delivery and operations leader element of the Reliability Portfolio, in the I&E Digital Production & Business Services (DP&BS) team.We are setup to bring together the development and operation of a coherent set of Digital products and services for optimal outcome in the area of Production Management, Engineering, Work Preparation & Execution, HSE & Carbon, TARs, Projects and Refinery Optimization. Our scope spans across legacy Upstream and Refining assets to enable common way of working through the right standardized processes, digital products and solutions.The Product Manager is responsible for ensuring the key business critical products and services are operating appropriately, and for the delivery of new products and solutions through the digital transformation agenda. We are hiring leaders who are able to work through ambiguity and collaborate across teams and most importantly within our businesses. As bp is driving a group wide digital agenda, this role will also need to work closely with other key strategies e.g. Architecture & Data, Intelligent Operations, Finance Transformation.Job AdvertKey responsibilities:Manages and develops products or services through their full life cycle from inception, growth, maturity, decline to retirement.Leads the DevOps squads, continuously improving and delivering at pace for our business.Supports teams in using relevant agile frameworks, such as Scrum and KanbanProvide visibility of deliverables, delays, blockers to collaborators and the wider team.Works with Product Owners on planning and maintaining an up-to-date delivery roadmap and product backlog with a clear focus on business valueBrings together different disciplines from UX, Product, Technical Specialist / SME Engineering to support alignment across the organization.Manages:vendor Software-as-a-Service products/services and statements of workfinances and budget in terms of responsible delivery and operational squadsrisks and issues mitigation in terms of both delivery and operationsproduct incidents and trade-off decisions on priority (hot fix versus new functionality)service outcomes with suppliers who provide developers to augment your teamframework upgrades, security patches and other product maintenance and support (i.e. Digital Service owner via ServiceNow)You’ll bring:A solid grasp of Software Development and Software Operations along with the concept of DevOpsSolid grasp and experience of current software development processes, including cloud-based delivery, digital Service ownershipA good working knowledge of Agile practices and digital project deliveryInformation Technology degree preferredHave worked in an Oil and Gas or New Energy environment is a desirableExperience and Job requirements:Over 8 years of overall experience including over 5 years of developing and launching and supporting digital productsAbility to balance business expertise and product domain with technical understandingExperience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and product designExperience negotiating scope and dependencies.
