The role will help ensure effective and efficient data workflows, as well as maintain data integrity and transparency. The successful candidate will have familiarity with industry recognized economic and reserves management software (Aries & Valnav), data management (SQL, Spotfire, Microsoft applications) and technology competency. The candidate will coordinate the quarterly updates and year-end reserves process, ensure reserves compliance with all SEC regulations and interfaces with area development team and third-party reserve auditors, monitor and analyzes reserve changes, tracks economic inputs and aid in preparing reconciliation and reports for senior management, accounting and financial auditors.The Sr Reserves Petroleum Analyst will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remote.Responsibilities Assist with quarterly reserve updates and year-end reserves process. Assist reservoir engineering efforts in SEC reserves analysis, reconciliation / documentation and support the BU Reservoir Engineers as needed. Assist in preparation of Proved, Probable, Possible and Contingent reserve evaluations, help manage reserve databases, coordinate data transfer and comparison with third party reserve auditors. Monitor and analyze reserve changes, based on production performance and drilling and workover activities, including revisions, additions, as well as acquisitions and divestitures. Work with Corporate Reserves Analyst to revise and maintain Reserves database (SQL / Spotfire and Petrolook). Preparation of quarterly and year end reserves processes including: Review production performance forecasts Working and net revenue interests Review LOE analysis; Establish reference prices / differentials, energy content with marketing and accounting teams Shrink and yield analysis in conjunction with marketing and accounting Capex annual review and analysis of capital Taxes (severance, ad valorem) Understanding of Canada royalty structure Asset retirement obligation (ARO) maintain abandonment costs for yearly reporting Preparation of quarterly and yearly reconciliations and reports for senior management, BUs, controllers, and third-party auditors.Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering Minimum 10 years of reserve experience required Experience working in oil and gas reserve estimations using SEC regulations, subsurface evaluations, decline curve analysis and economic evaluations for a 3rd party reserve auditor Direct work experience and proficiency with economic evaluations software (Aries / Valnav). Expert knowledge of Petrolook required.
