We aspire to be a 100-year company, which doesn’t mean staid and boring, but rather, we evolve and adapt to create the frontier of the engineering services industry.Job FunctionsExecute a variety of projects ensuring proper definition of requirements and interfaces for various subsystemsDesign, integrate, implement and validate subsystem functions and Human Machine Interface for locomotivesUse sound engineering principles and adhere to business standards, practices, and procedures, to develop product / program requirementsLead/support investigation, root-cause identification, and resolution of reliability issuesEnsure that the documentation of technical data generated for the assigned project is consistent with engineering policies and proceduresWork as part of a cohesive design engineering teamInteract with internal and external customers and ensures satisfactory deliverablesConceptualize and prepare preliminary and final detail design and documentation of systems components and assembliesPresent work to customers at product reviewsQualificationsWe’re excited to talk to you if you have:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a STEM discipline.Experience with MATLAB and Simulink Modeling toolsExperience with RTOS control design, hardware design, diagnostics, or testWillingness to work in a customer facing environment, in a fast paced development environmentAbility and willingness to work "hands-on" in test labs and on locomotives with high HP (1000 KVA), medium voltage (2 KV) and high current (10 KA) systemsStrong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systemsSolid oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsPC proficiencyEnjoy people and dynamic teams with diverse experiences.
