Develops and enhances financial reports to give greater business insights into performance. WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FORProvides operating divisions with basic financial planning, budget support, analysis and monitoring of actual performance to plan ensuring maximization of all resources Learns to analyze and interpret financial trends requiring management's attention and participates in generating models and analysis to support theories and ideas Contributes to establishing and monitoring of standardized business practices including controls to track corporate capital spending and adherence to debt covenants as well as a centralized summary of cost savings initiatives and their implementation Completes financial analysis processes and procedures, finance systems best practices, and identification and prioritization of actions recommended Conducts basic analyses to understand financial trends and financial opportunities such as cost savings and business development Assists in the analysis and evaluations of alternate financial plans as they relate to the corporate objectives Prepares and maintains metric-driven financial models used to forecast and evaluate profitability Coordinates and organizes various due diligence requests relative to new acquisitions, coordination of various cost savings initiatives and related reporting Assists in the development and preparation of monthly financial reporting packages including consolidated financial statements and analysis of key performance indicators Learns root cause analysis and how to implement process improvements that are critical in maximizing cash flow and driving efficiency gains Leverages analyses to ensure that the company meets its financial expectations and budgetary forecasts Exercises judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate solutions to projects of limited scope and complexity ensuring compliance with current federal and/or state accounting related laws and regulations Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a similar degree field and/or equivalent experience No minimum years of experience is required; oil and gas industry experience preferred Basic financial modeling skills and/or understands basic financial statements and forecasting Basic understanding of Microsoft Office tools; integrated accounting systems such as PeopleSoft, QLM, RightAngle, Allegro, and Tips experience preferred Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationshipswith your team and your customers Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Analytical thinker who can prioritize their time Self-motivated to learn and grow SPECIAL DEMANDSThis job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
