Collaborates with Integrated Collaboration Center (ICC) operations management (coordinators, gas controllers, remote plant operations) for alignment of the execution of ICC strategy. WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOROversees the system optimizers in the upstream scheduling, day ahead planning process and first of month (FOM) setup for gas nominations Holds the team accountable for the daily, weekly, and monthly task of the optimizers and performs a review of the efforts during the monthly close and transfer pricing processes Collaborates with the commercial, gas trading and ICC operations team for daily pricing updates, plant limitations, upstream/downstream restrictions Understands contractual and financial obligations related to the upstream scheduling business and impacts to the marketing/trading side of the business Exhibits a deep understanding of natural gas index pricing and how imbalance cash out is valued Monitors FOM setup, weekly forecast accuracy, imbalances, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for impact to gas scheduling to drive consistency and process standardization across all assets Tracks the Take in Kind (TIK), Pipeline, and Fuel Imbalances and holds regular meetings to ensure imbalances are managed with third parties and are accurately aligned with internal revenue accounting closure reports Partners with Accounting to ensure expeditious monthly close process between all systems and workgroups Partners with commercial, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), ICC, and IT Development team to design new processes for enhanced scheduling Subject Matter Expert for FIS Aligne as it relates to upstream scheduling; verifies data, troubleshoots system issues with transactions and reports, tests new versions, participates in Aligne Governance Group, coordinates new Aligne user set up with Contract Admin and IT Regularly communicating with management regarding issues such as imbalances, scheduling issues and operational issues Partners with the Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) organization for improving and upgrading scheduling software (Aligne, Allegro, Gas Scheduling System (GSS)) Leads, coordinates all communication working directly with both internal and external customers daily and monthly to meet company requirements Fulfills people leaderresponsibilities including hiring,staffing,and firing decisions, employee training and development, performance evaluation and addressing corrective action, as well as creating a culture of respect where diversity and inclusiveness are valued Proactively creates plans for continually increasing efficiency of the team with automation, cross training, and simplifying of processes Contributor to the recovery model to ensure plant loadings and recovery targets are optimized to maximize value of the asset Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization This position requires working before/after regular office hours including some/or holidays and weekends to manage critical scheduling activities QUALIFICATIONSBA/BS degree in a business, logistics, or technical discipline preferred A minimum of 5 years related experience is required although employees typically have 7-10 years; oil and gas industry experience preferred Minimum 5 years of previous experience in gas scheduling, Day Ahead Planning, Operations optimization required Minimum 5 years of experience in the Energy/Midstream, Petrochemicals, or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) regulated industry required Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, written and verbal communication and presentation skills to working levels as well as executive levels Works with various software packages with high competency in Excel, Microsoft Office and PowerPoint Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals Displays active responsibility and takes ownership of tasks, projects and issues related to the scheduling department Uses strong interpersonal skills for effective relationship management with business partners Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization Ability to work independently as well as part of a team SPECIAL DEMANDSThis job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low.
