SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:Working knowledge of electrical codes including hazardous areas - NEC class 1 divisions 1 & 2, ATEX/IECEx zones 1 & 2; have ability to learn and incorporate requirements from other specifications (NFPA, etc).Able to specify, analyze, design, engineer, and troubleshoot electrical systems including those for hoists/winches, HPUs, reelers, and other machinery.Able to select and source electrical components: motors, enclosures, breakers, starters, terminal blocks, pressure/temperature sensors, cables, cable connectors/glands, etc.Proficient with Motor Control and Instrumentation electrical design.Able to design a controls packageProficient reading and creating electrical schematics, single-line diagrams and enclosure layout drawings.Design software including AutoCAD Electrical / Draftsight.Calculation software including Excel, MathCAD, and ANSys.Management software including Solidworks PDM Vault, Epicor ERP, Logan DVPR tool.Common software including Windows, Word, email, calendars, image manipulation.Other software as necessaryAbility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.This job occasionally requires the employee to be outside and in production areas, stand, walk, sit, use hands, lift objects, climb stairs, reach overhead, balance, stoop, kneel, read, talk and hear.Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
