For more information visit http://www.cemvitafactory.comThe OpportunityWe are seeking a candidate with experience in deep tech laboratory-to-pilot-focused project management to join our Mining Biotechnology team in Denver. As a Project Manager/Sr. Project Manager, you will manage from the PMO perspective multiple innovative microbial and synthetic biology projects to bring novel and sustainable solutions to bioleaching and other mineral-related bioprocesses. You will rely on your judgment, understanding of project management best practices, and technical knowledge to track, analyze, and improve laboratory workflows to meet project requirements of budget, timeline, resourcing, risk management, and overall team health. Your role will also require an ability to collect and incorporate input from executive leadership, business development, engineering, finance, and our scientific teams. You will summarize and report on outcomes and action items to diverse internal and external stakeholders. You will also have a substantial strategic opportunity to improve our project management and delivery process, project management tools, and to help manage our business portfolio.The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a project manager within an industrial biotech firm, preferably as part of a formal Project Management Organization. The individual will have experience managing matrixed R&D projects and product launches, with an education within the STEM space. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: <ul><li>Schedule, budget, delivery, and team health across the Cemvita Mining vertical</li><li>Build consensus for project scope, schedule, and resources prior to project kick-off</li><li>Schedule and run internal and external project reviews</li><li>Employ project management best practices to help R&D and Business Development teams meet contractual obligations and satisfy internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Work across functions and hierarchies to develop and implement best practices</li><li>Communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Consistently demonstrate company values</li></ul> REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>BS/MS/PhD in STEM field</li><li>2+ years of R&D project management experience within STEM industry, particularly for developing life sciences/microbial technology</li><li>Previous experience or interest in working in a start-up environment</li><li>Demonstrable expertise in technical project management</li><li>Mindset of project innovation and acceleration</li><li>Experience with one or more project management toolsets, including PMI, scrum/agile, six sigma, or similar</li><li>Authorized to work in the United States without restriction</li></ul> WHAT SETS YOU APART<ul><li>Prior industry experience working with microbes or synthetic biology, OR prior experience working at a mining company</li><li>PMP or Scrum Master certification</li></ul> LOCATION: Denver, CO (Hybrid role) - Remote will be considered for very strong candidatesCOMPENSATION: Competitive salary and benefits Cemvitans are passionate about science and proud of their work, not afraid to think big and defy the impossible, and always ready to embrace multidisciplinary approaches.
