Additionalyy, this position can be remote from any of our DNV office locations.What You'll Do:Supporting a range of research, modeling, and review projects ranging from technology, hardware, code, and safety reviewsManage the development of new and innovative analytical tools and approaches that guide ongoing project work and new businessCollaborating on technical papers, webinars, code development, industry speaking engagements, and cross-industry and business area collaboration as energy storage permeates maritime, aviation, grid, and oil & gas industriesProject Management and related tasks including monitoring budget, deliverables, and client relationships for consulting projectsProvide expertise and process improvement to destructive and performance testing, working with experts in fire, gas, explosion, and plume modeling, performing risk analysis, and interpreting fire and safety codes and for customersParticipate in new business development through proposal writing and direct salesBuild and maintain client relationshipsSupport the mission and vision, have some fun while you do it, and maybe make a few new friends!Position QualificationsWhat is RequiredBachelor's degree in a technical disciplineMinimum 1 year professional experience with Computational Fluid DynamicsExperience in being part of collaborative project team(s)Comfort with interpreting, analyzing, and synthesizing data using Microsoft Office Suite (2016)Interpersonal skills, and solid speaking and presentation skillsWork within tight deadlines, while being adaptive to changing scope or customer needsWillingness and ability to travel up to 10-15% of the timeExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsAbility to pass pre-employment drug and background screeningWhat is PreferredAdvanced degree in technical disciplineProfessional experience with FLACS CFD softwareExperience with battery storage, fire safety, consulting, and or solar + storage developmentFamiliarity with fire safety, explosion analysis, gas behavior, and energy storage codes and standardsCandidates can have any or all of the following skillsets:Capability to model or simulate energy storage operationsExperience in battery testing or battery safetyExperience with energy storage hardwareAbility to interpret and direct CFD models as they relate to fire safety riskExperience with NFPA, and UL standards as they relate to energy storage safetyExperience with utility or industry best practices, guidelines, and standardsImmigration-related employment benefits, for example visa sponsorship, are not available for this positionHow We Do It We Care, We Dare, We Share DNV is a proud equal opportunity employer committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce.
