Gather available data to explain requirements against which supplier’s progress can be measured. Monitor and report that progress to project management. Develop alternative and timely schemes to keep progress on schedule for project requirements. Perform the assigned tasks and provide supervision and guidance to assigned personnel. The successful individual would be engaged on a contract basis for an initial 12 month period, with the potential of further renewals to follow. Key Aims and ObjectivesEnsure all deliverables related to packages, equipment, materials and documentation are met or improved upon as per project scheduleCo-ordination of deliverables from both supplier organisations and internal disciplinesUnderstand and have the ability to analyse and challenge manufacturing production schedules relating to packages, equipment and material itemsKey Responsibilities Achieve on time delivery of packages, equipment and material items as well as project documentation, as a minimumEnsure any instances of negative variance to achievement of PO requirements is pro-actively managed with appropriate mitigationsEnsure compliance with code of conductManage appropriate relationships with suppliers and key stakeholdersSupport Senior Procurement team with input into project PEP and expediting strategy and where necessary the trade compliance planAchieve on time delivery of packages, equipment and material itemsActively input and support in the development of scope specific expediting strategies and plans, as appropriateEnsure key document deliverables are submitted and approved within the required timescaleDevelop good working relationships with suppliersObtain supplier reports, analyse and challenge prior to project distributionCarry out/execute field expediting visits or prescribe scope for externally resourced field expediting visits, capturing findings in detailed reportEnsure all project stakeholders are aware of latest expediting information with respect to project deliverablesUpdate project reporting systems and tools with latest informationMaintain and produce project specific expediting report, as well as chair/lead an expediting status report (ESR) meetingProvide project specific information for input to Project Management ReportingSupport the Senior Procurement team with ongoing Supplier performance managementWork closely with Quality Control and Material Controllers to ensure purchase orders are released, shipped and receipted in a timely manner.
