Job DescriptionThe OpportunityTo work with suppliers to schedule and expedite material for delivery at the right time to achieve the production schedule and the customer requirements. Actioning daily exception messages, maintaining system parameters and ensuring deliveries are received on time in full whilst maintaining the optimum levels of inventory.Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:Responsible for actioning all MRP exception messages on a daily basisReview ERP recommendations to prepare, validate and schedule purchase orders to achieve optimal level of material availabilityUtilise inventory tools and techniques to ensure right sizing of inventory availabilityManage inventory levels and check for any potential risks to supply, escalate to Supply Chain Engineer (Supplier) and support with the action plan to recoveryManage inventory levels and escalate any concerns with potential overstocksBuild relationships with suppliers ensuring the deliveries are received on time in full, participating in Supplier On Time Delivery activitiesPro-actively expedite against forward customer orderbook and take ownership for reactive expediting to customer and production shortagesEnsuring status of all purchase orders with suppliers are up to date and closed in a timely mannerManage delivery quantity invoice queries and problem resolutionSupport the Supply Chain Engineer (Supplier) with supplier development activitiesMaintain and manage the master data within the ERP system ensuring all data is in line with the agreements made by the centre-led sourcing teamEscalate any communication from the Suppliers advising of a change to the contractual agreementsWeekly reporting on material availability, supplier delivery performance and premium freightMonthly financial reporting on stock and accruals, slow and non-moving stock and material usageResponsible for Supply Chain Metrics inclusive of Customer OTD, Factory Plan Attainment and shortages to plan, Goods in Transit and Raw Material Inventory, Slow and Non-Moving Stock, New Value accuracy and Absolutely quantity accuracy, Rio RateResponsible for external storage and premium freight costsQualifications & Technical knowledge:Experience in the use of ERP systemsExperience with and sound knowledge of the basics of inventory managementGood level of IT understanding, including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerpointPersonal Specification:Experience in inventory and material control within a manufacturing environmentExcellent relationship building and communication skillsGood attention to detail, with a methodical and logical analytical approach About RotorkRotork is the market-leading global flow control and instrumentation company, helping our customers manage the flow or liquids, gases and powders across many industries worldwide.
