You will be part of the team responsible for consolidating the accounts from businesses across the group and assist in preparing monthly financial results, forecasts, budgets and other key finance reports to the Board. You will work closely with and support the Group Accountants and Financial Controller.We will look to you to assist the Group accountant to administer Cognos, the group consolidation system, including monitoring uploads from 150+ entities and setting up new users. You will also deal with finance queries across the group usually via email or over the phone. You will assist with the preparation of monthly group reports and any ad hoc analysis work such as report building in excel.There are many opportunities to grow within this role and take on more responsibilities as you develop professionally, therefore this role is ideal for an ambitious individual who wants to take the next step in their career.We are looking for someone from an Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics background and who ideally has a degree in a relevant subject. You must be IT competent with good knowledge of MS Excel including pivot tables, Vlookups and formulas. Ideally, you will also be able to manipulate large amounts of data in Microsoft excel and have experience of accounts preparation and/or financial reporting.To succeed in this role, you should feel comfortable working as part of a busy team, hold excellent communication skills and be able to prioritise your work effectively.
